The teaching explored the elements that make up our world: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and the Cosmos.

The challenge - write a Psalm for all beings and proclaim it.

The Magic Formula

There is a magic formula for life on this planet

A formula as mysterious as the dawn

As precise as the tiniest quark

As expansive as the Universe

Harvest ingredients from the abundant earth

Rich black soil

Precious metals and minerals

An invisible force called gravity

And rotations to mark time

Add water, so necessary for life

Conduit within us and without

Tearing down mighty mountains

Holding secrets in its depths and tears

Water of ceremony. Holy.

Apply catalytic transformational fire

Powerful electric lightning strikes

Explosive volcanic eruptions spewing Earth’s innards out

Sunlight for warmth, energy, growth

And the fiery passion of the heart

Cool your creation with the breath of the Holy Spirit

Wind that carves stone sculptures

Lifts creatures that soar

And blows the clouds around

Yet gentle enough to extinguish a candle with a “poof”

Sprinkle with the miraculous promise of rainbows

The magic of stardust

The energy of distant nebulae

The comforting darkness of the unknown

And infinite possibilities

Rejoice all beings for your home

For connection to one another, known and unknown

For mysteries of our creation

For all we need

For Love
